Glacier Investigations is a Wisconsin-licensed private investigation firm focused on crash reconstruction support and investigative services for the legal and insurance industries. Founded on a straightforward idea — that when litigation or a claim hinges on what really happened in those final seconds, somebody has to pull the data accurately, defensibly, and fast — we serve attorneys, insurance carriers, and accident reconstruction firms across Wisconsin and nationwide.

Chris Senkbeil brings more than 25 years of combined law enforcement and private investigative experience to every case. His career began in law enforcement, where he built a reputation for integrity and effectiveness handling complex investigations — from traffic incidents and narcotics cases to long-form surveillance operations — and regularly collaborated with district attorney offices and clerks of court to see those cases through the judicial process.
Today, Chris channels that same rigor into Crash Data Retrieval and litigation-support work. He is Bosch CDR certified and travels nationwide to download supported modules on passenger vehicles, light trucks. Whether the retaining party is plaintiff, defense, or a carrier's SIU team, Chris delivers the same neutral, clearly documented report — the kind that holds up in deposition and reads cleanly for a jury.
Clients also point to something the credentials do not capture: Chris approaches the people involved in these cases — grieving families, injured claimants, witnesses recounting a traumatic event — with the same care he would want shown to his own. That compassion, combined with disciplined investigative technique, is what sets Glacier Investigations apart.

Every CDR download follows documented chain-of-custody procedures. Every report is written to be read by a judge, a jury, or a mediator — clear enough for a layperson, precise enough for a reconstruction engineer. We do not shade findings to favor the retaining party, and we will tell you when the data does not support the theory of the case. That is why attorneys on both sides of the bar continue to call us.
